MISSING PAPERS! VERY IMPORTANT:    Posted: Nov 20, 2009
To my surprise many of you have not done the paper on Chapter 5 and 6. Needless to say this will greatly impact your final grade in this class since it is a core requirement. If you dropped off a printed copy but failed to send me an emailed copy you must do so by Monday's class. If you think you sent it via email and did not get a confirmation mail from me then you need to re-send it. Please check your emails to see if one was received from me. Many of you may have sent me the paper but did it incorrectly therefore need to resend it. If you don't send me an email copy by Monday's class then unfortunately points will be deducted from your printed copy when graded. If you sent and email copy only you must still bring a PRINTED COPY on Monday but with point deducted since the paper was due last week. 1. You must send this paper to me as an EMAIL as well. 2. Write your paper on Chapter 5 and 6 3. You must cite any material used from any of the articles in footnotes. 4. Sa

Final Grade and end of the semester    Posted: Nov 14, 2009
Dear Class Well we are nearing the end of our time together this semester. I know that we are all very tired and are getting burned out. We all somehow balance work, school, family and health. Near this time of the semester we tend to burn out and no longer give our best effort, myself included. As I begin the grading finalization process I noticed that quite a few of your are not doing so well in my course thus far for a variety of reasons. As you know we meet over a period of approximately 16 weeks. Assignments are due throughout the entire semester. I see that many of you have elected not to do some or many of the weekly journal entries. Needless to say the journals are an essential part to the course work as a whole. I see that some of you have not done one of the papers nor have completed the on line chapter quizzes or might have missed an exam. Many of you have a pretty poor attendance record and have missed more than the allowable (2) excused absence. Some of you have miss

Spring 2010 Courses    Posted: Oct 22, 2009
Dear current and former students: I have a tentative teaching schedule for the Spring 2010. Given the current budget crisis, the class cuts and the class caps of 35 student, I thought I would inform you of my potential classes for the Spring 2010. Getting into a class will be very difficult in the semesters to come. The best thing is to register as soon as possible. If you are interested in taking another course with me here are the spring 2010 options. I am also at SWC and MiraCosta if you want to know my schedule there. We have been informed and told to enforce the 35 student caps which means that we cannot let too many add students in. So the best thing is to be official enrolled. I hope to see some of you again in the future. Online quizzes    Posted: Sep 26, 2009
I am getting too many emails about an issue that has been addressed in class and on the course syllabus and in the instruction to the quizzes. So here we go again. When ever you take a quiz on line, the computer is a computer. Which means that it can only grade the mc and tf questions. IT CANNOT GRADE the short answer or fill in the blank answers. The computer will only give scores to the answers it can grade. I MUST read and grade the short answers and fill in the blank questions. I have to go over your quiz and assign points to those types of questions. I usually grade the quizzes in groups. Please give me at least 1 week to grade your on line quiz. Ananda
