MISSING PAPERS! VERY IMPORTANT
Posted: Nov 20, 2009
To my surprise many of you have not done the paper on Credibility. Needless to say this will greatly impact your final grade in this class since it is a core requirement. If you dropped off a printed copy but failed to send me an emailed copy you must do so by Monday's class. If you think you sent it via email and did not get a confirmation mail from me then you need to re-send it. Please check your emails to see if one was received from me. Many of you may have sent me the paper but did it incorrectly therefore need to resend it. If you don't sent me an email copy by Monday's class then unfortunately points will be deducted from your printed copy when graded.
Due Monday November 9, 2009!!!
1. You must send this paper to me as an EMAIL as well.
2. Write your paper on (3) or more articles
3. You must cite any material used from any of the articles in footnotes.
4. Save your paper as: PHL 100 and your last name. For example, PHL100Spike
5. Save your papers as doc or r

Final Grade and end of the semester
Posted: Nov 15, 2009
Well we are nearing the end of our time together this semester. I know that we are all very tired and are getting burned out. We all somehow balance work, school, family and health. Near this time of the semester we tend to burn out and no longer give our best effort, myself included. As I begin the grading finalization process I noticed that quite a few of your are not doing so well in my course thus far for a variety of reasons. As you know we meet over a period of approximately 16 weeks. Assignments are due throughout the entire semester. I see that many of you have elected not to do some or many of the weekly homework assignments. Needless to say that the homework exercises are an essential part to the course work as a whole. I see that some of you have not done one of the papers or might have missed an exam.
Many of you have a pretty poor attendance record and have missed more than the allowable (2) excused absence. Some of you have missed up to 5 or 6 or even more classes alre

Spring 2010 Courses
Posted: Oct 22, 2009
Dear current and former students:
I have a tentative teaching schedule for the Spring 2010. Given the current budget crisis, the class cuts and the class caps of 35 student, I thought I would inform you of my potential classes for the Spring 2010. Getting into a class will be very difficult in the semesters to come. The best thing is to register as soon as possible. If you are interested in taking another course with me here are the spring 2010 options. I am also at SWC and MiraCosta if you want to know my schedule there. We have been informed and told to enforce the 35 student caps which means that we cannot let too many add students in. So the best thing is to be official enrolled. I hope to see some of you again in the future.

Free Rice
Posted: Aug 31, 2009
Enhance your vocabulary
Do I really make a difference by playing FreeRice?
The rice you donate makes a huge difference to the person who receives it.
According to the United Nations, 25,000 people die every day from hunger or hunger-related causes, most of them children.
Though 10 grains of rice may seem like a small amount, it is important to remember that while you are playing, so are thousands of other people at the same time. It is everyone together that makes the difference. Thanks to you, FreeRice has generated enough rice to feed millions of people since it started in October 2007.
